Birmingham birds, pt.1

I have more bird photos coming – saw an ace heron the other day, looked like the ghost of Mick Jagger – but they’ll have to wait their turn. These are incidental birds.

Pigeon next to what looked, at first sight, to be a used condom (deep-seated urban decay; Cameron’s Britain) but is not.


I love the texture of the water in this and the photo below. This was mating season at Edgbaston Reservoir. Anyone who knows what goes on at Edgbaston Reservoir can insert their own joke here.


Both of these birds are looking in the same direction. I think they are racist?
